Free(dom)

I'm wrestling with the devil in the ring of life...

This song is so symbolic of my life, but I persevere cause that's what brings about the things I envision and imagine. Never stop fighting for happiness.

Free Thinkers Introduction pt. 2

While watching MSNBC for the last several months I have become increasingly interested and intrigued by a woman who is not only a freethinker but an independent analyst. She seems to be the only one who thinks outside the box and I have to let the world recognize this great independent mind.

Young world...I'm introducing to you... Rachel Maddow

In addition to hosting "The Rachel Maddow Show" on Air America, Rachel is a political analyst for MSNBC.

She's been with Air America since its inception in Spring 2004 -- before AAR she worked for WRNX in Holyoke, Massachusetts, and WRSI in Northampton, Massachusetts. There was also a stint with a jungle-themed company called Espresso [sic] Bongo, but she doesn't want to talk about it.

Rachel has a doctorate in political science (she was a Rhodes Scholar) and a background in HIV/AIDS activism, prison reform, and other lefty rabble rousing.

Rachel is 35 years old and lives in New York City and rural Western Massachusetts with her partner, artist Susan Mikula.

Another Day another...

ArtOffical images

Today was the day of enlightenment. The people who I thought were there for me are walking away. That feeling of abandonment is starting to set in, but I will not surcome to the feelings. I feel like a gladiator walking back to the holding cell after battle. “Since the last obstacle did not kill you, you have another day to prepare for the next battle.” Therefore, instead of feeling anger, animosity, or ill feelings, I renewed my marriage to the grind. Put that band back on my finger and got to work. On most days, I would work for 5 hours and spend the rest of the day meditating on positivity and success. For 25 years of my life, I was a pessimist...and for the last 3 years of my life, I have fought against that feeling. I found the only way to beat bad habits is to develop good ones. I am cultivating my newest one and I had my first ray of sunshine in a while. So as I end my day, I focus on the fact “I am fortunate enough to have my faith; it’s the hope that keeps me striving when I was exhausted miles back. “

We are a product of habit. If we change our habits, we'll change the world.
