Watchin Again

Orange Acid

Couldn't forget my first inspiration to be better...so I pay homage with a poem about my MUSE.

I once wanted to tell that life is terrific,

But that only holds true if in every moment I spent, you were in it.

Using my talent to combat the problems of my existence as a Godly diplomat

Maybe I should just show you in these words, better yet, in poem format,

Written on trees with Cutco knives, what do you know about that?

I can’t imagine the day that life will leave me,

But I could see, how in this world you are the best thing for me.

I rather have conversations with you, than watch everyone else’s fantasy on TV.

I’ve spent the last three days addicted to you; I have no space for ecstasy or trees.

Just good thought, and waiting seconds to feel you next to me.

And in my days of absence I would only ask if, one man could be next to you.

But somehow I couldn’t say it, even though I know he sits with you.

He’s the best example I have to follow from

They just rather war over him.

I’m spending lifetimes attempting to learn from him.

And all this so that you and I can one day experience him.

Together

God, you and I could create a pool of love that would ripple forever.

And now I write to you to tell you about our pastime coming up spent

Spent thinking of the moment in which I got to meet you, again

Seven rings, forty thousand descendants of our children have made time worthy of each and every second invested.

In our past lifetime we spent only seventy years together

And that left people to write about us in the Bible

They made us virgin again and all this while they praise you as an idol

Thinking of our first child being the savior of these people, kind of keeps the Black man smiling.

A wise man once told me, “Life is what you make it”

“And if she’s your queen why doesn’t she know it?”

That lesson I will never forget and I admit that at time I don’t act it,

But you are the divine deity that keeps me moving beyond the obstacle I see.

You are the sanctified reincarnation of spirits of Queen Sheba, Harriet Tubman and Coretta Scott King

You speak to me in emotions the human mind couldn’t imagine.

You are my everything, for without you, I am nothing.

Lessons Learned

Courtesy of 830 Westview

Today as I walk around proudly with my Obama shirt on I remember all the unsightly things done to my people. I am contemplating "our" commitment to this changing world. I know now that we must put forth the same expectations that we have set on our new BLACK president. If you say "you are a proud American" ask yourself "What do you offer to America?" What do you contribute to the world that you live in? If we want change, we must be indebted to that CHANGE.

Focus of the Week: Diligence

I must remain steady on obtaining my goals...if I do not stick with it I will regret faltering to this journey called life. Therefore, my focus thisweeks is to maintain my diligence.

Diligence (noun):constant and earnest effort to accomplish what is undertaken; persistent exertion of body or mind.

Therefore, while I am working at my dreams I still need support, so stick with me through this journey. Because the end will be so much sweeter with the longer drive...just ask JD

Free Thinkers Introduction pt. 2

While watching MSNBC for the last several months I have become increasingly interested and intrigued by a woman who is not only a freethinker but an independent analyst. She seems to be the only one who thinks outside the box and I have to let the world recognize this great independent mind.

Young world...I'm introducing to you... Rachel Maddow

In addition to hosting "The Rachel Maddow Show" on Air America, Rachel is a political analyst for MSNBC.

She's been with Air America since its inception in Spring 2004 -- before AAR she worked for WRNX in Holyoke, Massachusetts, and WRSI in Northampton, Massachusetts. There was also a stint with a jungle-themed company called Espresso [sic] Bongo, but she doesn't want to talk about it.

Rachel has a doctorate in political science (she was a Rhodes Scholar) and a background in HIV/AIDS activism, prison reform, and other lefty rabble rousing.

Rachel is 35 years old and lives in New York City and rural Western Massachusetts with her partner, artist Susan Mikula.

Greatness

Buff 1

This weekend was such a reflection of my thinking. On my vision board I have twothings that came into my life over this weekend. The first occasion was on Saturday when I was privilaged to have a good friend of mine give me a laptop that I have needed for a while. I placed a laptop on my vision board about two weeks ago. I couldn't think of how I was going to get a laptop, I couldn't afford one and I damn sure didn't know anyone to just have one sitting around. Then I receive a phone call that I could have exactly what I have been thinking about.

After I picked up the laptop, which was better than the one I had placed on my vision board, I went and hung out with a good friend of mine. I was honored to go to pottery painting place and use my artist mind to create a gift that I will give to my family. This was a very ironic situation because my mind has become dedicated to being very appreciative for the things that I have. In most cases, I would make something for myself instead I made a gift to show my appreciate for the support and love that I receive from my family. I feel privilage to have such good people around me. After we finished painting I had one of the deepest conversations about the power of our thinking and actions. I have received gifts that I thought of...thus far
